Job Title: Quantity Surveyor - Highly Regulated Projects Location: Bristol Salary: 55,000- 60,000 + package Contract: Permanent preferred (freelance also considered)About the roleAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a growing main contractor working across a range of highly regulated projects. This is a business that has grown steadily over the recent years and continues to expand in a controlled, sustainable way. The focus is on doing things properly, without unnecessary bureaucracy, and maintaining a straightforward, common-sense approach to delivery.The role would suit a mid level Quantity Surveyor who has had experience running a couple of projects of their own and is comfortable taking commercial ownership. You will be based out of the Bristol office with occasional travel to live sites (south of Somerset) as required.Key responsibilitiesFull commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final accountCost planning, budgeting and forecastingProcurement of subcontract packages and commercial negotiationsManaging variations, change control and valuationsPreparing and agreeing interim valuations and final accountsWorking closely with project teams to ensure strong commercial control and project deliverySupporting the continued growth of the business through best-practice commercial managementExperience requiredQuantity Surveying experience with a main contractorExperience managing projects independentlyBackground working on
