Sales Manager (Laboratory Equipment and Solutions)

Working Location: North West, UK (Home-based with regional travel)

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + Bonus + Company Car + Benefits

The role sits within a business supplying into laboratories, research environments, and regulated industries, seeking someone to lead sales strategy, key accounts, and new business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a regional portfolio of laboratory and industrial clients
  • Drive new business across pharma, biotech, research, and manufacturing laboratories
  • Engage with laboratory managers, scientists, QA and QC, and procurement teams
  • Sell laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and technical solutions
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Lead commercial discussions, pricing, and contract negotiations
  • Build long-term relationships across multiple stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams to deliver tailored solutions
  • Monitor market trends and identify growth opportunities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Sales Manager or Senior Sales role within laboratory equipment or scientific solutions
  • Background in analytical instruments, laboratory equipment, or consumables
  • Strong understanding of laboratory environments including pharma, biotech, and research
  • Track record of winning new business and managing key accounts
  • Confidence engaging with both technical users and commercial stakeholders
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated with experience managing a territory
