Field Sales Engineer - Industrial AutomationLocation: Coventry (Field-based - Midlands and UK-wide travel)Employment Type: Permanent, Full-timeThe OpportunityI''m currently working with a well-established and growing industrial automation specialist that is looking to appoint an experienced Field Sales Engineer to cover the Midlands region, with Coventry as the base location.This role would suit a commercially driven sales professional with a strong technical background in industrial automation, who enjoys face-to-face customer engagement and consultative, solution-led selling.The RoleAs Field Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and managing customer relationships across the Midlands and wider UK, providing technical sales support and delivering tailored automation solutions.Key responsibilities include:Managing and growing a portfolio of industrial customers through field-based sales activityIdentifying and developing new business opportunities within manufacturing and process industriesSelling industrial automation solutions and components, including PLCs, HMIs, drives, servo systems, inverters, and control hardwareConducting site visits, technical consultations, and solution presentationsManaging the full sales cycle from enquiry through to order and after-sales supportWorking closely with internal engineering, service, and operations teams to ensure a high level of customer satisfactionMaintaining accurate CRM records, forecasts, and sales activity repo
