Our leading Blackpool Special School is seeking a dedicated SEND/SEMH Specialist to join our team.This is a Temp to Perm position. You will start via a trial period, allowing you to ensure the school is the right fit for you before transitioning onto a permanent school contract. You will be working with pupils who have complex Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism (ASD), and specific Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets.Key ResponsibilitiesSpecial School Support: Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support in a specialized, nurturing environment.SEMH and Autism Support: Use trauma-informed strategies to support pupils with complex emotional regulation needs.EHCP Implementation: Work alongside the SENCO to deliver specific interventions and track progress against individual goals.Positive Behaviour Management: Maintain a safe and productive learning environment using specialized de-escalation techniques.What We Are Looking ForWe welcome applications from Qualified (Level 2/3) and Unqualified candidates with the right "Blackpool grit" and a heart for Special Education.Experience: Previous work in a Special School, PRU, Youth Club, or Residential Care is highly valued.Specialism
