An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sole Legal Counsel to join a Bank. You will be responsible for providing legal support to the business.

Find out more about this role by reading the information below, then apply to be considered.Key duties include:Assist in managing the legal risk including reviewing policies and proceduresAdvise and assist the business on mortgage documentation, new product analysis, negotiating commercial agreements, and review all legal agreementsAdvise and assist the Operations and Risk departments on restructuring strategies where appropriateAdvise and assist the business on legal issues with respect to current and incoming legislative and banking requirementsAdvise and assist in respect of drafting, reviewing, negotiating material outsourcing contractsInstructing external counsel where necessary and identifying potential legal risks and assessing the issues impacting legal risk, which ensures that all of the Bank’s risk management approaches are legally viable.Control of legal documentationProviding company secretarial services to the group companiesThe successful candidate will be a UK qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE, including experience working in house in a bank legal department.
