With a multitude of new packages kicking off soon, our client needs a strong candidate who can step in, assist the wider team, and oversee packages independently without needing too much hands-on help. This role is perfectly positioned to bridge the gap between the junior and senior teams on site.

Role Highlights:

• Location: Grays, RM16

• Hours: 8.5-hour workday, Mon to Fri

• Rate: -550 per day (umbrella rate)

• Contract: Immediate start running until 31/12/2026, with the potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support project development and delivery by providing contractual and commercial advice to the project team in conjunction with the Commercial Manager.

• Ensure all contract requirements related to the project are complied with in full.

• Produce financial reporting related to schemes to the required standard and timetable.

• Manage subcontract procurement and administration, ensuring timely instructions are issued with appropriate governance and the supply chain is paid in accordance with contractual arrangements.

• Effectively manage supply chain variations, risk, and cashflow forecasting.

• Produce early warnings and compensation events in accordance with contract requirements.

• Ensure effective control of costs across all activities and deliver weekly reporting.

• Liaise effectively within the team, with other teams, and with the supply chain.

Candidate Requirements:

• Essential experience in civil engineering construction, while specific experience in the highways sector is highly desirable.

• Must be computer literate and comfortable using the Seymour management system.

• Must hold a full driving licence.
