to join our
Personal Injury and Motor Litigatio

team, on a full-time and permanent basis. This position can based from either central
Bromley
or
Leeds
offices.The roleReporting to Head of Operational Performance and Strategy, you will lead and inspire the PersonaI Injury and Motor Litigation Department, comprising of solicitors, legal executives and paralegals, in the delivery of effective outcomes for all non portal personal injury and motor related litigation for the business. You will manage the department to ensure an efficient, profitable and effective operation providing exemplary customer service to the clients of the business.What you will be doingAccountable for continuously driving performance in the team by setting and delivering on appropriate operational and financial targets and monitoring progress towards those targets.Ensure the team meet KPI and audit targets.Manage resources across the teams to ensure optimum workloads for all staff and to meet budgetary requirements.Manage process adherence and process improvement.To support the development of the department best practice and the client experience through continuous improvement initiatives.Provide leadership and direction regarding personal injury claims handling strategy.Drive efficiencies and ensure costs are suitably controlled.Ensure the provision of expert, ethical and pragmatic advice and support to clients.Ensure that client satisfaction and complaints are monitored and tracked on a regular basis and is utilised to drive improvements.Ensure that the client experience is central to team activity, supporting fair and effective decision-making.Ensure the team meets the requirements of DLG Legal Services risk framework and the wider Direct Line Group risk framework.Work with the COFA and COLP to ensure the business operates in line with all legal and regulatory expectations.Drive a high performance, positive culture and behaviours in line with company values.Set the example by modelling positive behaviours, continuous improvement principles and effective problem solving.To build and maintain relationships within the department and in working with other individuals and departments across the business as well as maintaining a good working relationship with the wider Direct Line Group, suppliers and other external organisations.Ensure individuals in the team are motivated and appropriately trained, working with the Professional Development Manager to address any knowledge/training requirements.Develop self in order to maximise personal contribution to the role and to the wider business.Who we are looking forExperience of handling personal injury claimsExperience of managing a team of technical specialistA good understanding of relevant law and legal processesWorking Hours:
