Graduate SEND Experience

* A Graduate Teaching Assistant will help pupils work through adapted literacy and numeracy activities

* The Graduate Teaching Assistant may support autism, ADHD or speech and language strategies under teacher guidance

* As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will reinforce attention, communication and emotional regulation techniques in 1:1 or small groups

* An effective Graduate Teaching Assistant can contribute relevant observations to teachers and SENCOs about participation and independence

* Prepare resources and follow individual support plans and safeguarding procedures.

What We''re Looking For in a Graduate Teaching Assistant

* A degree in Psychology, Education Studies, Early Childhood Studies, Childhood Studies, SEN or a relevant subject for this Graduate Teaching Assistant role.

* Tutoring, youth work, mentoring, care, childcare or coaching experience is valued.

* Previous employment in a school is not essential.

* Reflective practice, reliability and a strong interest in SEND are important.
