Citi .Citi is looking for intern analysts to join our Markets team in London. Markets at Citi provides world-class solutions that are as sophisticated and diverse as the needs of the corporates, institutions, governments and individual investors we serve in 160 countries and territories. We work on trading floors in over 80 countries, enriching client relationships around the clock. The breadth and depth of our underwriting, structuring, securitisation, sales and trading and distribution capabilities span asset classes and currencies, sectors and industries. Our expertise covers a broad range of products including equities, commodities, credit, futures and foreign exchange (FX).Your time here will look something like thisOur program is a highly competitive and selective program that gives you the opportunity to actively participate in the trading and marketing of securities to our institutional client base. In addition, as a summer analyst, you will complete three rotations across both product and function to gain a well-rounded experience. You will join a training program to learn the fundamentals of the analyst role and Citi’s culture. The 10-week summer analyst program starts in June and begins with a one-week training in London, followed by three rotations with different desks. You will select the area of Markets you are most interested in (Sales, Trading, Structuring, Quantitative Analysis or Securitisation and Financing) to help align you to the recruitment process. If successful, your summer rotations will be decided by desk availability and your preferences, but you will be encouraged to experience desks across Markets. Successful summer analysts may be considered for a full-time position after graduation.What You’ll DoCollaborate with peers on projects and in pitching trade ideas.Collect and analyse macro market and industry-specific information to assist your team.Build and utilise your network by shadowing across desks and asset classes on the trading floor.Assist with the preparation of internal documentation and presentations for the team.Participate in discussions with product heads across the business.Learn how to price, manage risk, and execute trades across asset classes.What We’ll Need From YouYou are interested in Markets and determined to succeed in the field. We’re hiring professionals who can contribute to Citi’s culture and growth.You are currently enrolled in a university and expected to achieve or have achieved a 2:1 (or equivalent) at undergraduate level in any degree discipline.You are in your penultimate year of university.You have a good understanding of finance and an interest in Markets.You are proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.Knowledge of programming languages (VBA, Python) is highly desirable.Excellent interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, and exceptional planning and organizational skills.Intellectually curious with proactive problem-solving and idea generation.Self-starter who works well independently and in a team, with a commitment to personal growth and mobility/flexibility.Unwavering commitment to integrity and ethical decision-making.Fluent in written and spoken English.Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
