TeamJobs are recruiting for an experienced Production Manager to join an established engineering and manufacturing company in Bournemouth on a 3-month contract.

We''re looking for someone who can hit the ground running, take ownership of daily production operations and make a real difference from day one!

Following a recent site move, the business is looking for someone to help strengthen production processes, improve performance and ensure everything is running as efficiently as possible.

You''ll be managing Production Supervisors across three product lines, keeping production on track and driving improvements in quality, delivery, productivity and costs.

This is a hands-on role, so we''re looking for someone who enjoys being out on the shop floor, supporting their teams, solving problems and getting things done!

• Managing daily production operations across three product lines.

• Leading, coaching and supporting Production Supervisors and their teams.

• Planning production schedules, resources and workloads to meet customer delivery targets.

• Improving production performance, reducing overdue orders and keeping operations running smoothly.

• Monitoring KPIs, quality, productivity, costs and stock levels.

• Identifying bottlenecks, reducing waste, scrap and rework.

• Investigating quality issues and implementing long-term improvements.

• Driving Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement across the shop floor.

• Maintaining high standards of health and safety.

• Proven experience as a Production Manager or Manufacturing Manager.

• Background in electronics, engineering-led or regulated manufacturing.

• Strong experience managing production teams and supervisors.

• Confident with production planning, capacity management and performance KPIs.

• Good knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

• Experience using SAP or a similar ERP/MRP system.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach.
