Overview
Business Development Director - Interconnect (Europe). The role leads growth initiatives for TT Electronics’ Interconnect business across Europe, with a primary focus on the Abercynon and Fairford sites. The senior leadership role shapes and delivers the go-to-market strategy for interconnect solutions, including cable harnesses, connectors, and integrated systems. The position focuses on securing brand-new customers, platforms, and programmes within the Aerospace and Defence sector and adjacent markets, and is dedicated to strategic customer acquisition and programme wins that expand TT’s market footprint and long-term growth trajectory.The role holder would ideally be based near Abercynon and Fairford along the M4 corridor, with regular travel to these sites, other TT UK sites, and regional customers.Responsibilities
Develop and execute the European go-to-market strategy for Interconnect, working with site leadership.Identify and secure new customers, platforms, and programmes, positioning TT as a partner of choice for interconnect solutions.Build senior-level relationships with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and strategic partners across Aerospace and Defence and adjacent markets.Lead and manage complex commercial negotiations focused on profitable growth and long-term strategic alignment.Represent TT at industry forums, trade shows, and key customer engagements to raise market visibility.Collaborate with Marketing, Engineering, and Operations to align customer needs with TT’s capabilities.Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities and report progress to the VP Sales and senior leadership.Develop understanding of TT Electronics’ wider portfolio to enable solution-led selling and coordinated customer engagement.Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements to refine growth strategies.Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
