Their shining recommendations and growth are shown through the many accreditations and construction industry awards.As an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee the commercial packages on a 50m large-scale warehouse and distribution facility in Bristol. The role involves overseeing all aspects of cost management, including the preparation of detailed estimates, budgets, and forecasts, while closely monitoring project expenditures to ensure alignment with financial targets. In addition, the position requires providing leadership and mentorship to junior surveyors, ensuring full compliance with contractual obligations and implementing robust cost control strategies to deliver the project successfully.Extensive background within the industry with at least 5 years of experience working in a Senior Quantity Surveyor position or similar for a leading contractor or subcontractorDemonstrated track record of successfully delivering commercial packages on major/large scale projectsProficient in the relevant software toolsAbility to multitask and prioritise projectsA strong understanding of construction laws and regulationsThe ability to accurately estimate the costs associated with the projectA solid understanding of construction materials, methods, and techniquesReporting regularly to the Project ManagerEvaluate and compare bids from contractors and suppliersPrepare thorough cost assessments and feasibility evaluations to inform project planningManage and oversee project expenditures, ensuring they align with budgetary constraintsSupervise the financial effects of design modifications and negotiate any necessary revisionsTrack and manage cash flow, providing stakeholders with accurate and timely financial insightsCollaborate closely with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and contractorsDesign and implement cost reporting systems to provide clear visibility and control over project financesParticipate in project meetings, providing expert advice and insights on financial and cost-related issuesManage and maintain detailed, up-to-date records of all project-related financial transactions and documentationImplement and enforce policies to ensure compliance with industry standards, legal regulations, and best practicesMonitor cost and financial risks related to the project and apply strategies to address and mitigate potential issuesNegotiate and secure contract agreements with contractors and suppliers in accordance with project scope and budgetMaintain strict alignment with contractual commitments and project specifications, ensuring seamless delivery in line with client expectationsCompile, review, and report on material consumption and reconciliation, providing accurate data to support project management and cost control processesUndertake a diverse range of projects across the UK with an award-winning contractorJoining a company that places a strong focus on ongoing learning and professional development growthJames Shorte (Associate Director) or Emily O''Grady (Executive Senior Resourcer) at Caval - (phone number removed)
