TimePlan Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Hyde, Tameside. This rewarding role involves supporting Year 1 pupils with EHCPs within a small, nurturing classroom environment.

The class consists of just 8 pupils, supported by an experienced class teacher and two SEN Teaching Assistants, ensuring a highly supportive and structured learning environment. The school is looking for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and who is motivated to make a meaningful difference to pupils'' learning and development every day.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide tailored support to Year 1 pupils with EHCPs

• Work within a small class of 8 pupils, supporting learning and emotional development

• Assist the teacher in delivering structured, personalised learning activities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required

• Help create a safe, supportive and inclusive classroom environment

• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals to support pupil progress

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

• A calm, patient and nurturing approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• The ability to support pupils with a range of learning and behavioural needs

• A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning

• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to obtain one)
