SEND Teaching Assistant - Full Time (Immediate Start)

TimePlan Education are currently recruiting multiple dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to join a specialist school in Reading. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity starting immediately, with the potential to continue beyond Easter.

About the Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support

• Assist pupils with a variety of additional needs in and out of the classroom

• Support learning, communication, and emotional development

• Work closely with teachers and specialist staff to deliver personalised support

• Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment

Needs Supported

You will be supporting pupils with a range of needs, including:

• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

• Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)

• Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD, SLD, PMLD)

• Visual and Hearing Impairments (VI, HI, MSI)

• Physical Disabilities (PD)

• Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD)

• Other associated needs

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND (school, care, or youth work settings)

• A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
