Electrical Shift Engineer - Continental Shifts

Location: Chiswick, London

Salary: £57,000 per annum

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Shift Pattern: Continental (Days and Nights)

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to join a critical technical site in Chiswick. This position is ideal for someone with a strong electrical maintenance background, looking to work within a professional and high-performing environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver both planned and reactive maintenance across the site, ensuring electrical systems are safe, compliant, and efficient

   

• Provide first-line response for M&E plant including pumps, motors, drives, air handling units, LV switchgear, PLCs, and SCADA systems

   

• Monitor and optimise the performance of building systems, focusing on energy efficiency and continuous improvement

   

• Respond to helpdesk tasks with accurate and timely updates and documentation

   

• Promote and uphold health and safety standards across all activities

   

• Work effectively within the shift team and support the smooth operation of the site

   

Required qualifications and experience:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation

   

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

   

• City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (Test and Inspection)

   

• Experience working with high voltage systems (AP status or awareness preferred)

   

• Sound knowledge of statutory regulations and maintenance industry practices

   

• Previous experience working on a shift rota within a technical or critical site

   

• IOSH Working Safely or similar health and safety training preferred
