A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially minded Financial Controller to join a successful and diverse SME group based in London. Operating across multiple sectors, including property and investment, this role offers full autonomy and responsibility for the financial management of several UK entities, with direct access to the Managing Director and wider leadership team. You''ll be a qualified accountant with a strong blend of technical expertise and hands-on experience, capable of leading the finance function day-to-day while providing strategic financial insight to support business decision-making. The Role You''ll take charge of the end-to-end finance function, managing the group''s financial operations, reporting, compliance, and cashflow. Working closely with an Accounts Assistant, external advisors, and internal stakeholders, you''ll ensure the group operates efficiently and in line with statutory obligations. Key Responsibilities Full responsibility for group accounting, financial reporting, and compliance Preparation of 18-month rolling cashflow forecasts with meaningful commentary Production of quarterly board packs, including PandL, balance sheet, and variance analysis Oversight of statutory accounts and corporation tax returns, working with external accountants Submission of VAT returns, payroll approvals, and pension scheme oversight Manage supplier payments, credit control, and company debit card usage Act as key liaison for bank
