Our client, based in central Manchester, require a Principal Mechanical Engineer from the Building Services/FM sector. The role will oversee mechanical service contracts and compliance, with an emphasis on Mechanical and Pressure systems maintenance whilst overseeing contractors on site covering Gas, Water, HVAC and compressed systems.It''s working for the Facilities Division of a Multi-site organisation who we have dealt with for the last 20 years. This is a permanent role that will pay between 50,000 - 56,535 PAYE + excellent benefits (35 days holidays + 19% pension)In summary, this position would suit someone who has worked in a FM/Building Services role who has solid mechanical engineering knowledge (ideally degree qualified) coupled with experience of contractor management, statutory regulations and management of mechanical service contracts/SLAs.Duties will include: Organising contractor site inspections and managing contractors to maintain compliance and SLAs. Assist head of department in strategic and operational maintenance of site, including provision of surveys, project management and responsibility for updating mechanical standard requirement documents.
