Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager - HS2 (C2)

Our client, a leading main contractor, is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor - or a Commercial Manager for the right candidate - to join their team on a major infrastructure project (HS2).

You''ll take ownership of commercial management on a high-profile infrastructure project, working closely with the operational team to protect and maximise contractual entitlements. Depending on experience, this role could suit someone ready to step up into a Commercial Manager position.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote a safety-first culture across all project activities
• Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and company processes
• Understand contract terms and manage commercial risks and opportunities
• Maintain accurate records to support contractual entitlements
• Prepare and submit applications, securing payment and variations
• Manage subcontract accounts through to final account
• Monitor progress and provide accurate commercial reporting
• Support negotiation and settlement of the final account with the client
• For CM-level candidates: broader oversight of the commercial team and project commercial strategy

What We''re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with an MEP background
• Alternatively, a strong NEC and infrastructure background will be considered
• Degree/HNC level qualification and/or significant relevant experience
• Experience managing change and subcontract accounts
• Good working knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts
• Candidates with Commercial Manager-level experience are encouraged to apply and will be considered for a higher package

Salary & Benefits

• Up to -100,000 basic salary (negotiable for candidates with Commercial Manager experience)
• -300 per month car allowance (non-car, fixed)
