About Us: Our client has just purchased a restaurant in the Westcliff-on-Sea area. Seeking a skilled and experienced Chef, to be on their bank list to cover sickness, holiday and busy periods, bringing expertise, continuity and creativity to their kitchen. Key Responsibilities: Covering absences in the kitchen team ensuring high-quality dishes are prepared and presented consistently. Oversee the service when on shiff, from preparation to delivery, maintaining efficiency and excellence. Health, Safety and Hygiene: Uphold strict hygiene and cleanliness standards in the kitchen, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Implement and maintain food safety protocols, including proper storage, handling, and preparation of food items. Conduct regular checks to ensure compliance with sanitation standards. Allergy Management: Develop and implement procedures to manage and communicate potential allergens in menu items. Food Hygiene Inspections: Prepare for and facilitate food hygiene inspections, ensuring the kitchen meets all required standards. Address any issues identified during inspections promptly and effectively. Buffet Service Management (Weekends): Execute buffet-style breakfast services on weekends, ensuring a variety of options are available and presented appealingly.
