Key responsibilities of a SENCO include:Lead and develop the school''s SEND provision, ensuring inclusive practice across the school.Identify students with additional needs and coordinate appropriate interventions and support.Work in collaboration with teachers, teaching assistants, parents and external agencies.Create and oversee Education Plans and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).Support and advise staff in adapting teaching and learning to meet the needs of students.Coordinate assessments and referrals to external specialists.Monitor student progress and evaluate the effectiveness of SEND interventions.Ensure reasonable adjustments are made to help pupils access the curriculum.Guide teaching assistants on effective strategies for supporting pupils with SEND.Help staff manage ..... full job details .....
