This is an excellent opportunity for a senior building services professional to lead mechanical design on a diverse range of projects across the residential, healthcare, education, commercial, and regeneration sectors.The RoleYou will lead mechanical services design, manage project delivery, and work closely with clients and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions. The role includes technical leadership, project oversight, and mentoring junior engineers.Key ResponsibilitiesLead mechanical design and act as project engineerManage and review the work of engineers and specialistsEngage with clients and stakeholders to deliver project requirementsProduce designs, calculations, reports, and specifications across RIBA stagesUse CAD/BIM (ideally Revit) and design tools such as Hevacomp and IESEnsure compliance with regulations, QA standards, and health and safety requirementsAdvise on energy efficiency, sustainability, and carbon reductionMentor and support junior engineers and apprenticesAbout YouSignificant experience in mechanical/building services designRelevant degree or equivalent qualification (HNC/HND or higher)Chartered Engineer (CEng)Strong technical knowledge and attention to detailExcellent communication
