Teaching Assistant
Horbury Full-Time Long-Term Opportunity Hays Education are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Horbury to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 class on a full-time, long-term basis. This role is ideally suited to a confident and resilient Teaching Assistant who has previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The class has a high level of additional needs, therefore experience working with pupils who require tailored support strategies is essential. The Role Support pupils within a Year 3 classroom, both individually and in small groups. Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive learning activities. Provide targeted support for pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs. Help implement individual support plans and interventions. Encourage pupil engagement, confidence and independence. Contribute to a positive, nurturing and structured learning environment. What We''re Looking For Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school setting. Essential experience supporting pupils with SEN. Understanding of a range of additional needs and effective support strategies. Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills. A patient, positive and proactive approach. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
