Permanent, £65-£80k, hybrid (3 days per week in London)We are currently working with a prestigious public sector organisation, who are looking for a Lead Systems Engineer to lead their 2nd/3rd line support function.Key Responsibilities:Lead the IT Operations team in managing incidents, changes, and system performance.Provide expert technical advice and ensure the smooth operation of a wide range of IT systems, including Azure services, Active Directory, and Microsoft SQL.Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing your expertise in ITIL principles and best practices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver first-class IT support across the organisation, supporting business continuity and service excellence.Requirements:Extensive experience in managing complex IT infrastructures and applications, with strong expertise in Azure, Active Directory, VMware, Microsoft, Linux and O365.ITIL certification and a track record of successful change and incident management.Experience around Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management and Asset Management.Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and manage competing priorities.Strong team leadership skills, with experience mentoring/coaching team members.
