Mpeople Recruitment are seeking an experienced Nationwide-Driver on behalf of our reputable client based in Salford.
Salary:30,000 - -35,000 per annum
Hours:-40 hours per week (plus-overtime)
Location:-Nationwide-(Salford based)
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering goods to customer sites throughout the UK, including locations across England, Scotland and Wales.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, accurately and on time.
- Load and unload goods where required, ensuring all materials are handled carefully and secured correctly for transport.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, allowing for traffic, delivery times and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and relevant vehicle documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients and customers at delivery locations.
- Safely operate a company van in accordance with all road traffic laws and company procedures.
- Be prepared for extensive nationwide travel and longer-distance journeys as required by the business.
- Communicate effectively with the internal team regarding delivery schedules, route changes, delays or any issues encountered.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, company policies and safe working procedures.
- Keep the company vehicle clean, presentable and roadworthy at all times.
- Represent the company professionally whilst on customer sites and public roads.
- Take responsibility for the safe transportation of goods and ensure products arrive at their destination in good condition.
The desired candidate would have the following experience:
- Full UK driving licence - essential.
- Previous professional van driving or multidrop/delivery driving experience.
- Flexible approach to working hours and willingness to support operational requirements when needed.
- A good knowledge of UK roads and confidence driving long distances nationwide.
- Good understanding of road transport regulations and safe driving practices.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Reliable, professional and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Comfortable travelling extensively throughout the UK as part of the role.
- Willingness to work additional hours and overtime where available.
