Building Maintenance Technician
Location: Marlow, Buckinghamshire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 6:00pm (1-hour unpaid break)
Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 per annum

Overview
We are recruiting a reliable and hands-on Building Maintenance Technician to join a busy site in Marlow.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a proactive attitude and strong all-round maintenance skills to support the upkeep of both the building and surrounding grounds.

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe, well-maintained, and professional environment at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general building maintenance and repairs

• Complete routine inspections (communal areas, plant rooms, lighting, fire systems)

• Respond to maintenance issues quickly and efficiently

• Support planned preventative maintenance schedules

• Undertake basic plumbing, electrical, decorating, and repair work

• Maintain external areas including grounds and gardens

• Keep accurate maintenance records and report major issues

• Assist with contractor supervision and ensure H&S compliance

• Conduct weekly fire alarm testing and safety checks

• Attend site for emergency call-outs when required

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role

• Good all-round knowledge of trades (plumbing, carpentry, decorating, basic electrics)

• Practical problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach

• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload

• Good communication and basic IT skills

• Understanding of health & safety regulations
