Assistant Project Manager, Projects (Assets)
Adecco is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of Newham Council for an Assistant Project Manager (Assets) to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of construction and refurbishment projects that directly impact local communities.
- Location: Newham Dockside (Hybrid - Tuesdays & Wednesdays in office, with occasional additional days)
- Contract: Temporary (initially up to 6 months)
- Rate: -200 per day (Umbrella)
- Working Arrangements: Office-based at Newham Dockside every Tuesday and Wednesday
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of construction and refurbishment projects within the assets team
- Assist with project planning, coordination, and reporting
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, and performance
- Prepare and maintain project documentation and reports
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication
- Provide general support to senior project managers and the wider team
About You
We''re looking for a proactive and organised individual who thrives in a project environment. You will ideally have:
- Experience working on construction or refurbishment projects
- A proven ability to manage or contribute to project delivery
- Strong budget tracking and reporting skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Confidence working both independently and as part of a wider team
- Project management qualification or equivalent practical experience
