Health and Safety Officer

Our client is a large healthcare organisation who are looking for a Health and Safety Officer to work closely with colleagues across their expanding estates and facilities department. This person will be responsible for providing specific and expert advice and promoting a positive health and safety culture. This is an office based role based in Keighley, Bradford and offers a salary of around £41,200. Role responsibilities; To lead and promote a positive Health and Safety Culture and the implementation and ongoing management of the organisational health and safety management system in line with HSG 65 and supporting guidance. To provide expert advice on matters relating to the Construction Design and Management RegulationsManage issues identified from property and service risk assessments, and co-ordinate to completion with delegated leads.Lead the preparation of local policies, procedures and safe systems of work within the framework of company policies to facilitate achievement of internal targets and controls. To assure compliance with COSHH regulationsDevelop and deliver training and induction programmes relating to health and safety as required locally to staff. Ideal Candidate requirements; 3 years+ proven experience in a similar HandS roleFormal HandS certificates such as NEBOSH and willing to undertake continuous professional development to keep up to date on knowledge.
