An established and growing business based in North Worcestershire is looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Clerk to join its finance team.This is a brand-new position created following recent business growth and acquisition, making it a great opportunity to join the organisation at an exciting time and become an integral part of the finance function.The role will primarily focus on Accounts Payable, alongside some Credit Control responsibilities, offering good variety and exposure across transactional finance.
Your new role

• Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
• Matching, batching and coding invoices
• Managing supplier queries and resolving discrepancies
• Supplier statement reconciliations
• Preparing and processing supplier payment runs
• Maintaining accurate supplier records
• Supporting with month-end AP duties
• Carrying out credit control and chasing outstanding customer balances
• Allocating customer payments
• Resolving customer account and payment queries
• Assisting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties when required

What you''ll need to succeed
The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger, with any exposure to Credit Control being beneficial.You will be:

• Confident working within a busy transactional finance environment
• Accurate and organised with good attention to detail
• Comfortable communicating with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders
• Able to manage your own workload and work to deadlines
• A strong team player with a flexible approach

• Salary of -28,000 - -29,000
• Permanent, full-time position
• 37.5 hours per week
• Monday to Friday
• Office-based in North Worcestershire
