Maths Tutor

Help Young People Build Confidence in Maths

We''re looking for a Maths Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 support to children and young people across Christchurch and the surrounding areas.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you''ll support learners who require alternative educational provision and benefit from a tailored approach to learning. Students may be of varying ages and abilities, with many needing additional support to improve confidence, develop key mathematical skills, and re-engage with education.

This is a flexible and rewarding opportunity for education professionals who enjoy working closely with students and making a meaningful impact on their progress.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months'' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
• Strong Maths subject knowledge
• Ability to adapt sessions to different learning styles and abilities
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Patient, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally around Christchurch and surrounding areas
