Senior Site Manager

Day Rate Rate: £260 - £280 per day depending on experience 
Duration: 1 year

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a high-quality care home development. This is a freelance position suited to a confident leader with a strong track record of managing residential or healthcare construction sites from groundwork through to handover.

You’ll be responsible for managing all site operations, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of health & safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day site operations and subcontractor coordination

• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies

• Liaise with the client, consultants, and project team

• Manage site documentation, including RAMS, progress reports, and site diaries

• Drive project timelines and ensure milestones are met

• Quality control and snagging

• Chair and contribute to regular site meetings

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager, ideally with care home or residential healthcare projects

• SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certified

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

• Strong understanding of construction processes, health & safety, and quality standards

• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and suppliers on a live site

• Experience working on design & build contracts is advantageous
