This vacancy is being advertised by HSB Technical Ltd, who have been appointed to recruit an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a growing marine engineering business based in Scotland. The Role We are looking for two experienced, time-served Mechanical Fitters with a strong understanding of mechanical drawings and previous experience working within a workshop environment. The successful candidates will be responsible for the overhaul, inspection and repair of marine propulsion and deck machinery equipment, working to deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities Overhaul marine propulsion and deck machinery units within a workshop environment. Work to milestones and deadlines set by the Workshop Manager and provide regular progress updates. Interpret and work from mechanical drawings. Safely operate a range of workshop machinery, including lathes and milling machines. Carry out inspections and quality-control checks using calibrated equipment. Complete workshop inspection and overhaul reports.
