SEN Teaching Assistants - Newport

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistants to provide support to SEN Students in Newport You will be working alongside the class teacher to provide support in lessons. The role will be working with pupils between 3-19 years old on a full time basis.

We are currently working with a number of Schools who are looking for Teaching Assistants, we are also able to find a role that works for you.

The working hours for schools role are Monday to Friday 8.30am and 3.30pm. We are looking for candidates that want fulltime positions to fill the school requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Work on a 1:1 and small group basis with children who have SEN
• Supporting the class teacher to deliver engaging and differentiated sessions.
• Supporting children to thrive both academically and socially.
• Create a fun, safe and supportive environment for children to thrive and excel in school.
• Assist with break and lunch duties.

Requirements:

• Must have recent and relevant experience working with children or adults with SEN is desirable.
• Be available Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm for work.
• Be comfortable providing personal care if needed.
• Have a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one. You will get a full refund with us when you work 20 days.
