We are recruiting for an experienced Sous Chef who is ready for a new challenge, joining a growing and well respected restaurant! This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to step-up, and seek chef/kitchen management duties. Location: Outskirts of Luton - transport required. Working Hours: 09:00am to 15:00pm, working 30-hours a week, across Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Flexibility is a key requirement for this role, with the ability to work extra hours if/when needed. Contract Type: Perm. Duties: Overseeing the kitchen with all preparation of service. Ensuring execution of fantastic meals, inline with pre-existing standards. Planning and directing food preparation and presentation of culinary dishes to a high standard. To monitor stock movement and ensure stock security. To ensure minimum kitchen wastage. To assist with the provision of training and development for department staff. Comply with health and safety and food safety legislation throughout the department. Support with menu development. Assisting with stock ordering. Supporting with client engagement, when needed. Requirements: Experienced in cooking fresh and prepared food. Good knowledge of allergens. Strong working ethics - quick and efficient whilst delivering well-presented dishes. Good communicator able to manage two lovely dedicated kitchen porters. Dedicated to cleanliness and a hygiene standard (kitchen and all equipment).
