The opportunity

We''re partnering with an established manufacturer in Alfreton area to find an experienced Multi Skilled Electrical bias Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis. This is a key role within the site''s maintenance function - keeping production equipment running efficiently through a mix of planned and reactive electrical maintenance.

What you''ll be doing

• Performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown response on production machinery and electrical systems
• Fault-finding and diagnosing electrical issues across LV systems, PLCs, drives, and control panels
• Supporting installation and commissioning of new equipment and process improvements
• Working collaboratively with mechanical maintenance colleagues on multi-discipline tasks
• Maintaining accurate maintenance logs and contributing to site improvement projects
• Working safely at all times in line with site health, safety, and environmental requirements

What we''re looking for

• Recognised electrical qualification - City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, BTEC, ONC/HNC, or apprenticeship-trained
• Solid maintenance experience within a manufacturing, processing, or industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of LV electrical systems, motor drives (inverters/VFDs), and control panels
• PLC fault-finding experience - Siemens S7 or Allen Bradley preferred
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Multi-skilled engineers with mechanical awareness are particularly welcome
