Compliance Monitoring Associate Director

We are looking for an Associate Director of Global Regulatory Affairs to spearhead our Global EPR and chemical management strategies. There will be regular travel to our Folkestone and/or London office required and International travel circa once a month.This key role requires a leader who can effectively integrate and drive compliance across all strategic business units and global subsidiaries, ensuring business continuity and minimising risk. You will be at the forefront of monitoring emerging global regulations and chemicals-of-concern requirements. Your strategic and tactical roadmaps will ensure compliance, and you will provide strategic guidance to internal business partners regarding new regulations. As a thought leader with vision, you will inspire innovation and foresight, positioning the company as a proactive industry leader in regulatory compliance.Lead and implement comprehensive chemical compliance strategies in alignment with EPR, VOC, REACH, RoHS, TSCA, and other relevant regulations.Guide cross-functional teams to ensure product compliance throughout its lifecycle, from development to disposal.Monitor, interpret, and update regulatory changes to company policies and procedures promptly.Collaborate with RandD, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to integrate compliance requirements into product design and production processes.Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks.Lead the organisation''s Chemical of Concerns Committee.Oversee training and guidance for internal teams on chemical management regulations and best practices.Identify needs and develop budgetary requirements to support the Chemical Management program.Represent the company in global industry forums and regulatory bodies, advocating for favourable regulatory outcomes.The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor''s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Package Engineering, or a related scientific field, with an advanced degree preferred.
You will have
at least 10 years of experience in chemical compliance or regulatory affairs within the consumer product goods industry or a related field
. Your in-depth knowledge of EPR, VOC, REACH, TSCA, and other packaging and chemical management regulations will be crucial. You will be adept at training all levels of an organisation, planning work, managing projects, and facilitating high-performance results. In a fast-paced, dynamic environment, you will work collaboratively, drawing on your background in RandD/Chemistry/Packaging within FMCG - CPG, Personal Care, Beauty, or the food industry.
