AIT Technician
Our client, a leader in the space sector, is currently seeking AIT Technicians to join their team in Harwell.Key Responsibilities:Assemble and integrate mechanical and electrical components, sub-assemblies, and systems according to technical drawings and work instructionsPerform electrical wiring, cable harnessing, and connector terminations following industry standardsPerform soldering and rework activities following industry standardsCreate and maintain risk assessmentsRecord test data accurately and complete all required documentationDiagnose and troubleshoot assembly or test issues, supporting engineering in root-cause analysis and corrective actionsMaintain a clean, organised, and ESD-safe working environmentEnsure compliance with health and safety, environmental, and quality assurance proceduresSupport continuous improvement initiatives within the AIT departmentJob Requirements:Experience in a hands-on assembly, integration, or test roleExcellent organisational skillsStrong practical skills in mechanical fitting, wiring, and assemblyAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagramsExperience using hand tools, torque tools, and test instrumentsAttention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanshipGood problem-solving and fault-finding abilitiesStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work independently under minimal supervisionKnowledge of health and safety and cleanroom/ESD practicesFibre optics handling and cleaning exp
