Our commitment to a flexible and hybrid working culture The role Leads the development work within a very complex or large project or cross functional product team or, through part time involvement will provide oversight to many cross functional teams Delegates for the Head of Software Engineering to support the engagement and decision making with other departments within Arqiva Defines and champions engineering best practices and standards across the entire software development lifecycle to ensure high-quality deliverables Leads the adoption of new technologies, frameworks, and tools that can enhance the functionality, robustness, and performance of products Agrees and oversees the architectural design of software systems with Solution Architects, ensuring solutions meet both current and future business needs while maintaining technical integrity and sustainability Tutors, guides, and mentors a cohort of 10 less experienced engineers Writes clean, scalable, and testable code Participates in code review
