HGV Class 2 Yard Shunter / Yard Operative Busy Commercial Vehicle Yard Location: West Drayton Salary: £17.50 £18.00 per hour (£40,950 £42,120 per annum) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am 6:00pm Paid Hours: 45 hours per week Job Type: Permanent, Full-time Work Location: On site About the Role We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 Yard Shunter / Yard Operative to join a busy commercial vehicle operation in West Drayton. This is not a traditional Class 2 delivery driving job. You will be based permanently on site and will play a key role in keeping a busy vehicle yard and workshop operation running safely and efficiently. Vehicles are constantly arriving on site, moving into and out of the workshop, being repositioned around the yard and being prepared for customers. You will be responsible for making sure the right vehicles are in the right place at the right time. The role would suit an experienced HGV driver who enjoys a fast-paced yard environment, is confident manoeuvring large vehicles in confined areas and takes pride in keeping a busy commercial vehicle operation organised. You will work closely with the workshop, transport and operational teams, moving vehicles once mechanical work has been completed and bringing vehicles forward when they are ready for customers or further operational use.
