EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER - Great Barr About the Role In the role of Early Years Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing outstanding care and education for children at our Oldbury nursery. You will work closely with colleagues to deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring each child s individual needs are met. Key Responsibilities: As an Early Years Practitioner, you will: Deliver high-quality childcare and education, demonstrating a strong understanding of the EYFS. Assist with planning, implementing, and evaluating a range of activities suited to the children s ages and stages of development. Maintain a safe, secure, and clean nursery environment at all times. Develop positive, professional relationships with colleagues, parents, carers, and outside agencies. Support the nursery team in promoting a culture of safeguarding and child welfare. Undertake domestic and practical tasks such as preparing snacks, cleaning equipment, and maintaining hygiene standards. Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and open days as required. Record observations, progress reports, and children s development using the key worker system. Ensure accurate sign-in/out procedures and compliance with collection policies.
