Siemens CNC Controls EngineerShillito Group are recruiting for a client looking to add an experienced Siemens CNC Controls Engineer for an established client in Sheffield.This is a hands on engineering role working with CNC machine tools, Siemens Sinumerik controls, PLCs and drives.You''ll be involved in setting machines up, commissioning them, getting everything talking to each other properly, and fault finding when something isn''t doing what it should.There will also be travel to customer sites for installation, commissioning and technical support.What you''ll be doing:Commissioning CNC machines using Siemens Sinumerik controlsProgramming and modifying Siemens PLCs using STEP 7 and TIA PortalSetting up CNC controls, drives, servo motors and machine parametersFault finding across controls, electrics, hydraulics and pneumaticsTesting machines before they go into productionWorking with sensors, encoders, motors and safety systemsReading electrical and mechanical drawings to diagnose issuesSupporting customers with installations, breakdowns and technical problemsWhat we''re looking for:You''ll need solid experience with Siemens controlled CNC machinery and be comfortable working on the controls side of the machine, not just operating it.Experience with the following would be ideal:Siemens SinumerikTIA PortalSTEP 7PLC programmingCNC parameterisationServo drives and motorsElectrical fault findingMachine tool commissioningWe need you to understand how CNC machines work and how ..... full job details .....
