Inclusion PractionerSittingbourne About the RoleAcademics are currently recruiting an Inclusion Practitioner to work within a prison education setting, supporting learners with a wide range of additional needs to access education, training, and personal development opportunities.This is a rewarding role for an experienced inclusion professional who is passionate about equality, rehabilitation, and second chances, and who can build positive, professional relationships within a secure environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport learners with SEND, SEMH, learning difficulties, and barriers to educationWork closely with teaching staff to adapt learning strategies and resourcesPromote positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulationProvide 1:1 and small group support where requiredContribute to individual learning plans and progress reviewsLiaise with prison staff, education teams, and external agenciesMaintain accurate records in line with safeguarding and prison protocolsThe Ideal Candidate Will HaveExperience working in an education, inclusion, or support roleA strong understanding of inclusive practice and learner engagementConfidence working with challenging behaviour in a structured settingExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA calm, resilient, and professional approachThe ability to work within strict safeguarding and security procedures
