Working closely with design engineers, project managers, and subject matter experts (SMEs), the Technical Author ensures that manuals, instructions, and supporting documents meet both customer needs and industry standards. The role: Research, plan, and produce high-quality S1000D / Simplified Technical English (STE) compliant Data Modules, including: Descriptive Procedural Operation Maintenance Illustrated Parts Data (IPD). Work closely with engineering teams to obtain and validate technical information. Translate complex engineering concepts into clear, user-friendly instructions for operators, technicians, and customers. Ensure documentation complies with relevant industry regulations and standards. Manage document version control in line with product life cycles and engineering change processes.
