Job Title: Building Surveyor Type: Temporary (until the end of June) Location: Cardiff Salary: £23.03 PAYE + holiday pay / £30.03 Umbrella per hour Hours: Full Time BRC are working closely with a leading Housing Association to recruit a Building Surveyor on a temporary basis. This role will focus on damp and mould cases, reactive repairs, and HHSRS assessments.Duties:Conduct property inspections, including damp and mould investigationsDiagnose building defects and recommend appropriate remedial worksManage and oversee reactive repair works from start to completionCarry out HHSRS (Housing Health and Safety Rating System) assessmentsLiaise with contractors, tenants, and internal teamsPrepare reports, specifications, and schedules of workEnsure all work complies with health and safety regulations and housing standardsRequirements:Proven experience in a Building Surveyor or similar roleKnowledge of damp and mould issues and remedial solutionsExperience with reactive repairs and maintenanceStrong understanding of HHSRSRelevant qualification (e.g. HNC/HND/Degree in Building Surveying or similar)Good communication and organisational skillsFull UK driving licence For more information, please call Meg Smith or Emma Keir on or .
