Finance Manager
Finance Manager - Temporary - Stockport - Up to 55,000 On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced and hands-on Finance Manager to oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the business for a maternity cover. This role is to start immediately. Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and financial reports for senior management. Oversee cash flow management, forecasting, and budgeting. Support year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors and accountants. Maintain compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal controls. Process end-to-end monthly payroll accurately and on time. Ensure all statutory deductions (PAYE, NI, pension, etc.) are calculated and submitted correctly. Maintain and update payroll records, including employee benefits, bonuses, and leave. Liaise with HR on employee changes, new starters, and leavers. Reconcile payroll control accounts. Oversee the full sales ledger process, including raising invoices and maintaining accurate records. Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely collection of payments. Reconcile customer accounts and handle queries professionally. Oversee supplier invoices, approvals, and payments. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies. Requirements Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar accounting role. Ideally a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or qualified by experience (QBE) Strong knowledge of payroll, management accou
