A full-time opportunity has become available for an experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive primary school in Newham. This long-term role is available for an immediate start and offers a competitive daily rate of -110 to -135, depending on experience.

Do you have experience working as a HLTA or experienced Teaching Assistant in a primary school?
Are you confident leading small group interventions and covering lessons when required?
Are you able to support pupils across different year groups and abilities?

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the senior leadership team to support teaching and learning across the school. Your responsibilities will include delivering targeted 1:1 and small group interventions, supporting pupils with varying abilities, and occasionally covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher.

You will play an important role in helping to raise attainment, support pupil engagement, and maintain a positive learning environment. The role requires strong classroom management skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently when leading activities or supervising a class.

Experience supporting pupils with additional needs such as SEN, ASD, or SEMH is highly desirable.
