Underwriter/deal structurer – asset based lendingOverviewOur client, a well-established, growing commercial finance provider, seeks an experienced underwriting and deal structuring professional to join their asset based lending team in the South East.

Responsibilities

Act as a conduit between the new business team and the credit committee, structuring and completing acceptable credit applications in line with the company’s credit policy.

Carry out collateral assessment, financial forecasting, and in-depth analysis of complex financial accounts.

Collaborate with the business development team and risk teams to negotiate and structure complex lending transactions and ensure effective processes are in place.

Prepare accurate legal documentation, negotiating with internal and external legal teams.

Operate with a lending mandate and oversee other technical areas of credit and risk.

Qualifications

Previous underwriting experience in a similar lending environment.

Ability to analyse and interpret complex financial information.

Strong communication skills and the confidence to support your view.

Occasional travel around the country.
