Stock Controller / Purchasing CoordinatorLocation: Dewsbury (on-site)Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 Working Hours: 8am 4.30pm (some flexibility) About the RoleAn established manufacturing business is seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Stock Controller / Purchasing Coordinator to join their operations team on a permanent basis.The role is responsible for planning and procuring key materials to ensure production demand is met efficiently, while maintaining optimal stock levels and strong cost control. Working closely with internal Sales, Production, and Procurement teams, you will oversee day-to-day purchasing activity, manage supplier relationships, and support intracompany purchasing requirements. Key Responsibilities Plan and procure key materials to meet production requirementsMaintain accurate stock levels and ensure availability of critical itemsRaise and manage purchase orders for core and ad-hoc requirementsDevelop and maintain strong supplier relationshipsSupport pricing discussions and cost control initiativesManage intracompany purchasing and intercompany supply coordinationWork closely with Sales and Production to align purchasing with demand forecastsMaintain accurate records of purchasing and stock movementsAnalyse usage trends and support continuous improvement in inventory efficiencyEnsure compliance with company policies, quality, and environmental standards Experience Required: Minimum 3 years experience in purchasingMinimum 3 years experience in stock
