Our client, a leading organisation within the defence and security sector, is seeking a Test Equipment Engineer for a six-month contract based in Cheltenham. The role will involve developing, integrating and testing industrial test equipment used in aerospace and defence applications, with a strong focus on hardware alongside software and systems testing.Key Responsibilities:Designing, developing and integrating test equipment for industrial and engineering applicationsWorking across both hardware and software aspects of test systemsConducting software testing, systems testing and hardware verificationSupporting the development and maintenance of LabVIEW and National Instruments-based test solutionsCollaborating with software, hardware, mechanical and test engineering colleaguesInvestigating faults, identifying root causes and implementing effective technical solutionsPreparing and maintaining technical documentation, test procedures and engineering recordsEnsuring test equipment meets project requirements and operational standardsJob Requirements:Experience in test equipment engineering, test engineering or a similar technical disciplineStrong hardware engineering and hardware integration skillsExperience with LabVIEW and National Instruments tools or platformsUnderstanding of software testing and systems test processesAbility to troubleshoot technical issues across hardware and software interfacesExperience working with BAE test engineering environments or comparable ..... full job details .....
