Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a specialist Maths Teacher to join a large and successful 11-16 secondary academy in Oldham.

This is a full-time teaching role starting November 2026 on an ongoing supply basis.

The Role

• Teaching Mathematics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Five days a week, 8.15am - 3.15pm.
• Delivering engaging and challenging Maths lessons that inspire students and support strong academic progress.
• Planning and adapting lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning needs.
• Preparing pupils for GCSE examinations and developing their mathematical knowledge, confidence and problem-solving skills.
• Working collaboratively with the Maths department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

The academy is interested in hearing from Early Career Teachers, experienced QTS teachers and FE lecturers with recent UK experience of teaching Mathematics to students aged 11-16.

To be successful in this Maths Teacher role, you will need to:

• Hold QTS, QTLS or ECT status.
• Have strong subject knowledge and experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
• Be confident delivering engaging lessons and managing classroom behaviour.
• Be committed to supporting students of all abilities.
• Have the legal right to work full-time in the UK.

This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.

You will also need to provide a CV with a full employment and education history, explaining any gaps in employment.
