The Agency is recruiting on behalf of a successful and expanding precision engineering company for an experienced-CNC Miller / CNC Setter Operator.

The Role

As a-CNC Miller, you''ll be responsible for setting and operating CNC machining centres, producing precision components to tight tolerances while maintaining exceptional quality, efficiency and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC milling machines and CNC machining centres
• Edit CNC programs and tooling offsets where required
• Manufacture precision-engineered components to engineering drawings
• Produce components to tight tolerances
• Carry out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks
• Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers and gauges
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Maintain quality, productivity and health & safety standards
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Work closely with production and quality teams

Skills & Experience Required

To be successful, you''ll ideally have:

• Previous experience as a-CNC Miller,-CNC Setter Operator,-CNC Machinist-or-CNC Milling Machine Operator
• Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines or machining centres
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Reliable, motivated and able to work as part of a skilled engineering team

Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Hurco, Heidenhain, Mazak or similar CNC controls would be advantageous
